  5. Someone already …
Someone already mentioned this but yes it is a Gurkha knife used by Nepalese soldiers. The two little knives are actually used to sharpen the main blade. And yes, a very good pitch.

  16. Hey Travis…

    Hey Travis…
Enjoyed…& to help satisfy others curiosity…the two smaller knives were simply utility knives, for skinning and dressing game, just general purpose tools. There should also be a sharpening stone in the sheath.

Travis – that is just so good and you are so right. I have tried to make my bio boxes better but know they aren’t there yet. I’ve got one of those knives too. It belonged to my mother- but that is a whole other story! Are you curious?!!

    Jeez …
    Heh heh.

Jeez Travis, knives are pretty persuasive tools too. Depending on the circumstances, of course. :)

The exploitation of curiosity is a very subtle technique, but it has two edges (just like that big ol’ knife).

It can cut both ways, so you must use it very carefully, otherwise it’s likely to be your own head that’s on the block.

    Enjoyed your video.

    All the best.

  22. Travis, an …
Travis, an excellent lesson! It’s obvious that most of us forget how powerful baiting human curiosity can be.

BTW, most Brits (like me) will tell you the knife is so called Gurkha knife. It became known to the western world through the Nepalese Regiments, who are part of the British army.

The saying is, when a Gurkha takes the knife out of the scabbard, he has to spill blood with it.

Fortunately you are not a Gurkha, otherwise there would have been some bloody scenes in your video. :-)
