ads for interior designers on google adwords?
October 25th, 2009 by adminWhich is the best budget and day limit & any other things you know on google adwords? I want to advertise my Business in NY. Which ways for interior designers advertising are best?
You might want to submit a local business listing to Google. This will give you the opportunity to come up in the map listings when they show on your queries.
Then Google for [local seo] or [google maps optimization] for info on how to optimize your listing. Just submitting it probably won’t cause it to show for any competitive queries.
Or, visit my company’s website (ionadas local) as optimization of Google Maps is what I do!
How do you break into the UK marketing industry?
October 24th, 2009 by adminI have a marketing communications masters degree, but I am finding it hard to get even an interview for graduate roles. Any thoughts.

How would I start a business, marketing and advertising for other local small businesses?
October 22nd, 2009 by adminI would offer many different options for business owners to choose. printing and distributing flyers or corner signs, running ads in the newspaper and online websites or radio. Pretty much anything to do with advertising/ promoting for local businesses owned by individuals (like lawn care, roofing, restraunt, hair salon etc.) What should I do to start my business and is this a stupid idea?
I really think this is a good idea. I would contract you. Here are a few things you should know.
1. Pick a good name. Something people will remember.
2. Will you be a Sole Proprietor, LLC, or Corporation? This effects your liability if you get sued and taxes.
3. How much seed capital, or money do you have to start your business? This can include credit available.
4. Do you have a contract your costomers will sign? AKA an Engagement Agreement. Without this you will probably not get paid, and you will always want to leave very clear what you will do and not do. That way there are not any mistunderstandings.
5. Do you have an office, or work from home? Office will help you get clients vs home where business is rent free.
6. How will you keep records? Bookkeeping is very important. If the IRS has questions and you don’t have records you will loose audits and get fined. This can lead to not having funds to run your business. BE CAREFUL and keep records.
7. Will you have employees or sub-contractors? This can also get you in trouble. If you pay an employee cash that employee can sue you and you will most likely not have money to run your business after all the fines. BE HONEST.
8. Do you have an Accountant, Lawyer who will help you and give you advise? This is an investment. We can help you to stay out of trouble and grow your business. Look for a trustworthy accountant.
Hope this helps and Good Luck!

You can do something along the lines of "how do tobacco companies attract new users even though they have a negative consequence?" Also, look at how tobacco companies sponsor the ads that say that tobacco is bad.

advertising?
October 18th, 2009 by adminadvertising encourages us to buy things we really do not need
Advertising does a few things. When done right it keeps the brand in your mind. This is called top of mind awareness. It is also a form of entertainment that also puts the brand on your mind.
All advertising does is say the next time you need this item think of us.
-Marketing-?
October 17th, 2009 by adminWhy marketing channel system is so important to a firm?
Marketing is the way a couple positions itself in business. Marketing helps decide which direction it should go in the market place and helps "brand" the company as well as identify the future customers. Many a company have failed because of having no marketing plan or an ineffective one.
What are some products ideas for a Marketing course?
October 14th, 2009 by adminI am taking a Marketing Class for fun. And one of our assignments is coming up with product ideas. They can be additions to already invented items, just not reproductions. I am not so great at coming up with ideas…all of mine seem so far fetched and unexplainable in logical terms…any simple suggestions?
1. An application for iPhone or blackberry which allows you to see the person you are talking to on the screen. (Useful for deaf ppl so they can liread instead).
2. An appliance which refills your cup of (drink) when it is empty.. the appliance would have a sensor which knows when the cup is empty. (useful for old/weak disabled people or ppl in hospital when nurses are busy) or for use on your desk at home, on the dinner table where ever.
3. A page-finder for a book.. it fits onto the top of your book and you type in the page number and maybe even the start of the sentence you are looking for and it finds it and a marker points out the exact line.
4. A device for measuring the saturated fat content in food.. you stick it in the middle of the food and it gives a reading. Useful for health conscious and health freaks and people who have to follow a strict diet due to medical problems.
What marketing strategy can I use to sell a higher quality but more expensive product?
October 12th, 2009 by adminI need to set up a marketing strategy to sell a very durable and reliable desk drawer slide for $8.75 when there is a competitor selling a cheaper less reliable version for only $1.75– obviously my product is better, but how do I stress that to customers and get them to pay this high price?
To market in terms of quality rather than price, and in order to differentiate accordingly, you need to follow the standard format of the 4 P’s marketing plan. That is, Price, Product, Place and Promotion – obviously you know the main attributes of the product, and the price, but for ‘place’ you should think about the type of people who are willing to pay over 4x price of competing product – whereas the cheap option may be sold where emphasis is on cost, your product will be suited to places/distributors where the customers will be willing to pay for quality. Promotion needs to concentrate on the unique selling point / differentiator of the product you are selling, so this would be promotion through media (the choice of which depends on place – ie internet, leaflets, direct sales force, tv etc etc) with a strong emphasis on the reliability, durability and quality of the desk drawer slide – heavily focussing on the life of the product compared to cheaper ones; a ‘lifespan’ comparison could show the cheaper one to be a false economy both in cost and effort of replacement, so this could communicate it quite well.
Hope this helps
