Poorly defended by Channel 10. They should have claimed something along the lines of it being part of the animation, after all, there was a very non-subliminal logo at the top right hand corner.

  7. You might see it as …
You might see it as funny people, but seriously— theres a of alot more than obvious forms of this kind of programming. You think its harmless BUT the subconscious mind interprets info on a totally diff level. You say that suggestions cant effect strong willed people but that isnt 100% true. If you don’t agree, spend a week away from any tv at all and just skim the net on your pc. You’ll notice some withdrawal symptoms, TRUST ME… or don’t– bahhhhh

  10. TV in Australia has …
TV in Australia has 25 frames per second (rounded to the nearest second), therefore one frame is 1/25 second. The lab tests showed that the range where these images are below our consciousness were 0.001 to 0.055 seconds; 0.04 is obviously less than .055, so what is your point?

  13. This is why I do …
This is why I do not watch Media Watch or ABC. They just criticize other television networks on their faults. The television program contradicts itself. The television presenter noted that the “subliminal advertisements” were displayed for one-twenty fifth of a second, or 0.04seconds. However in of this video at 2:46 – 2:54, Cordelia Fine states that “in laboratory settings physiologists can use exposures of about 10 to 55 milliseconds without views becoming consciously aware stimuli.”

  14. ACMA powers don’t …
ACMA powers don’t go far enough here. For one ten should be banned from future aria awards, tho that’s an aria matter, second they should be fined say 10 million dollars for every breach. Also shoot Rove McManus. That’s so we don’t have to watch the smarmy little . Producers of the program should be publicly stoned to death.
